Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with our services. This Refund Policy explains cancellations, subscription billing, and refunds for services purchased from Barker HRS (“Job Scout”). Prices are charged in the currency you selected at checkout (CAD or USD); refunds are issued in the same currency to your original payment method.

1. Resume Starter Pack

Before the Targeting Memo

Full refund if you cancel before we write your Targeting Memo (generally within 24 hours of completing your intake).

If you stop after the Targeting Memo

We write your Targeting Memo first, and you ratify it before anything else is built. If you choose to stop there, we refund $100 (in your purchase currency) and the memo is yours to keep.

After the kit is built

Once the two master résumés and two cover letters are built, we include up to two revision rounds on the master set at no extra cost. If you remain unsatisfied after revisions, we will evaluate a partial refund (up to 50%) based on the work already delivered. The five job-specific packages produced during your 30-day search are customized to live postings and are non-refundable once delivered.

2. Customize a Job

Customize a Job (and the three-pack) is a per-use digital service. It is fully refundable before we begin tailoring your application, and non-refundable once the completed package has been delivered to you.

3. Search & Ready to Apply (Subscriptions)

• Cancel anytime. You can cancel from the billing portal linked in your receipt and account emails, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops all future renewals.
• Ongoing service, not a credit balance. Search and Ready to Apply are sold as access to an ongoing service, not as a fixed number of applications. The current billing period is non-refundable once the feed or prepared applications for that period have begun; you retain access through the end of the period you have paid for.
• Three-month Search block. The block is paid once and is refundable on a prorated basis only if no feed has yet been delivered.

4. Concierge

Concierge is a 90-day managed engagement accepted by application. Full refund if you cancel before we begin your targeting and document work. Once the engagement has begun, we will evaluate a prorated refund based on the portion of the 90 days and the deliverables completed.

LinkedIn Booster

Full refund before work begins; partial refund after, based on work delivered.

AI Workplace Training (4 × 75-minute sessions)

Full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before your first session. Once sessions begin, unused sessions are refundable on a prorated basis; completed sessions are non-refundable. No refund for no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled session.

Interview Questions

Non-refundable once the question bank has been delivered, as this is a digital product.

6. How to Request a Refund or Cancel

To cancel a subscription, use the billing portal link in your Stripe receipt or email us. To request a refund, email jobscout@barkerhrs.com with your order details and the reason for the request. We respond within 3 business days.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank to reflect the refund.
